*All prices include VAT where applicable*
Fabulous circa 1900 original Henry Tate & Sons Limited London crates. These crates are of handmade wooden construction and nicely aged, with clear branded markings still visible. Both crates still have their early shipping label attached. They would make ideal log boxes or great decorative pieces.
Henry Tate and Sons were one of the biggest sugar refiners in London in the late 1800s, and 'Tate's Cube Sugar' was its signature product. These sugar crates are early examples and date to 1896-1921, before they merged with Abram Lyle and Sons to become Tate and Lyle. Henry Tate established the Tate Gallery in London.
